The Logan County Regional Planning Commission shall consist of fourteen (14) commissioners. Five (5) of these commissioners shall be ex-officio and nine (9) of them shall be appointed.
Ex-officio Commissioners
Ex-officio Commissioners are entitled to vote on matters, with the exception of the Logan County Engineer. Each shall have a term on the Commission coterminous with his/her term in appointed office. The following are considered ex-officio members:
- Chairman of the Logan County Board
- Mayor of the City of Lincoln
- Mayor of the City of Mt. Pulaski
- Mayor of the City of Atlanta
- Logan County Engineer
The Logan County Engineer is the only non-voting ex-officio member due to direct employment with the County.
Appointed Members
Nine (9) commissioners shall be appointed by the Chairman of the Logan County Board. Two (2) of these commissioners shall be elected officials (1 County Board member, 1 Lincoln City Council Alderman). At least one (1) appointed commissioner shall be from one of the municipalities or townships in Logan County which is not represented by an ex-officio member.
Each appointed commissioner serves a term of three (3) years.
